Valentine’s Evening with Atilia
February 14th

Referred to as the nightingale of the music scene in KL, Atilia is one tough cookie despite a petite exterior.

Adamant to stick to her laurels of only producing music that is close to her heart rather than commercializing what appeals to those who determine what is marketable, she has come up with compositions and productions that are carefully and beautifully arranged and produced.

Currently working on her second album Indah, Atilia has gathered the best in the industry and have included collaborations with some of the most talented artistes and producers in this region. Indah promises a variety of genres that are smooth and composed. From Bossa to Neo Jazz with a hint of the flavour of classical Malay sounds and groove.

With productions made with Maliq & D’Essentials, Ifa Fachir, Mike Bloemendal, Paul Morrisson, Kieran Kuek, Noh of “Hujan”, Mohariz Yaakub and song contributions from Pete Teo, Dick Lee & Adlin Aman Ramlie this album provides an array of styles that complements Atilia’s soothing vocals.

Never stopping her quest for more creativity and production, Atilia had just returned after discussions were made to collaborate even more with Indonesia’s current band du jour, Sore (Saw-ray) with styles that eminates the sounds of the 50’s and 60’s that reminds us of the timeless styles of Burt Bacharach and Sergio Mendez.

Atilia’s second album, Indah, is targeted to be launched in Jakarta in March 2010 and will be launched in Malaysia soon after.

2010 is poised to display Atilia’s true maturity in style.

Atilia will be gracing the stage of Alexis Bistro at Great Eastern Mall on which, needless to say, a memorable Valentine’s evening.
